Daisy Barker
Daisy joined us at Chelmsford Community Radio at the age of 11 as part of our Takeover scheme which was nominated for the Rotary Young Citizen Award.
Since becoming part of our team she has gone from strength to strength having been awarded Silver in the 2023 & 2025 Community Radio Awards Young Person of the Year under 25 Category.
In addition to this Daisy won Gold at the Young Audio Awards 2023, BBC Sounds Rising Talent. She also made the finals for She Inspires Young Achiever, was shortlisted in the BBC Young Reporter Competition and was asked to take part in an online project with BBC Own It.
Daisy dreams of breaking in to journalism and in between her studies, you can find her dropping in to our shows to help out or covering some great stories on Chelmsford Reports.
