Alex Ossai
Alex joined CCR in March 2025. Since becoming involved he has embraced the opportunity to contribute regularly and has found the experience both enjoyable and fulfilling. Being part of a creative and collaborative environment has allowed him to develop confidence, gain hands-on experience, and take pride in seeing his work come to life.
Alex has a background in the performing arts, having completed a two-year BTEC course in Performing Arts at NewVic Sixth Form College. This early training helped shape his long-standing interest in creative expression and performance. He sees community-based projects, particularly within radio and media, as valuable platforms for skill development, self-expression, and personal growth, as well as an opportunity to work towards long-term creative ambitions.
Alex is also actively involved in volunteering within the local community. On weekends, he supports a charity bookshop, assisting with day-to-day tasks such as stocking shelves, maintaining displays, and working at the till. He values giving back to the community and contributing to causes that make a positive difference.
Alongside his volunteering, Alex works in the industrial sector, where he is employed as a warehouse operative and customer service assistant through a recruitment agency. This role has helped him build strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills, which he brings into his volunteering and creative work.
Outside of work and volunteering, Alex enjoys staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He regularly runs for exercise and takes part in local community running events, appreciating both the physical and social benefits they provide.
