And two thirds of those drinkers aren't checking or monitoring how much they are drinking. Now, joining me right now on the show is Karen Tyrell. She is a CEO of charity drinker where and she's on to discuss this a little further. Good evening Karen. Hi there. How are you? Very good. Thank you. Thanks for having me on. Thank you for joining us here at Chelmsard Community Radio. So the research that said how how many people are drinkers in the UK and how many aren't checking or monitoring came from your charity drinker wear. What else did the research show? So yes you're right, our research showed that about 66% of UK adult drinkers, which is about 30 million people have never been asked to check their drinking and if you put that into context of our approach to regularly checking our eyesight, regularly going to the dentist, having our blood pressure checked.
